Privacy
I use analytics to understand which essays are useful and how people explore the library. It is optional: the site works just as well if you say no.
Your choice
Analytics stay off until you allow them.
What is measured
If you allow analytics, the site sends page visits, active reading time, scroll milestones, library interactions and project-link clicks to PostHog’s EU service. Browser and device information, referring domains and campaign labels help me understand how readers arrive. PostHog can derive approximate location from the connection’s IP address.
An anonymous identifier is stored in your browser’s local storage so visits can be recognised as returning. It does not tell me your name. Your analytics choice is also stored locally. Turning analytics off stops future collection and clears PostHog’s local analytics storage; it does not erase events already sent.
I do not record sessions, capture typed searches, send clipboard contents or identify readers by name or email. Analytics only runs on the production site, not local development or preview deployments.
Enquiries
The contact form sends your name, email address and message, along with any event or organisation details you choose to include, through Formspree so I can respond. Formspree processes submissions and spam checks. Enquiries do not subscribe you to the newsletter, and their contents are not sent to PostHog.
Other services
The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes requests to deliver and protect it. External links, embedded content and GitHub-powered comments may involve their own services and privacy practices. This analytics choice does not control those services.
For more about the analytics provider, see PostHog’s privacy notice.
